Ipod Touch Sociability

The Ipod touch has a high level of sociability. The Ipod touch allows the user to communicate with other people through e-mail, facebook, and Instant messengers. All these are examples of text chat options. The ipod touch is not capable of communication through video chat.  This can cause issues for understanding between users since non-verbal signals are lost in text chat. IT is harder for one to understand to tone and meaning of a text chat rather than a video chat. The Ipod touch allows the user to share external representations with one another. This mean i can share my daily calender or my notes with any other Ipod touch/iphone user that is connected to the Internet.  These tools are used almost exactly what they were designed for and does not fall into the “Defacto vs. De jure” problem.

Awareness

Alot of information is lost over technologies today that can be very useful. The ipod touch falls somewhat into this category because information is not updated instantly. Problems with programs are not always addressed and it seems like the Ipod itself has a clitch rather than the programs inside of it. Later they put out patches but, sometimes it takes months for these updates to appear. On the other side the Ipod touch offers many new programs that keep the user up to date on not just the ipod but on the current news arounnd the world. This helps the user understand the world around them in an instant fashion and can also help communicate to the user potential problems that the programmers of the touch are trying to fix.
